Dorsey Lumber was started in 1998 by its owner Larry E. Shook.

He started his business by selling used lumber. Customers asked for more and he delivered. He expanded his products line and services.

At Dorsey Lumber and Supply, we focus on supplying quality material, and excellent customer service.

There have been quite a few changes at Dorsey Lumber & Supply since it started. In 2010 we built a new building with a nice office and warehouse for lumber, hardware and material. On July 26, 2014, Dorsey Lumber & Supply had a fire and lost everything, except our great customers. They kept coming by and ordering material.  Even without a building we never closed our doors. We worked out of a van trailer, that got so cold it froze the coffee maker one night. Then November 2015 purchased two old construction office trailers and set up our office in which we still continue to use today. In 2016, we built a new, larger building. This year, 2018 we are planning to expand to a new office and spacious show room area to help better serve our customer’s needs as we continue to expand our product line.

We are one of a few small business in this industry still around today. This enables us to work  in detail with our customers on their projects.

We offer free estimates for all your building projects: Post Frame, Houses, Additions, Decks, and Roofing to just name a few.
